This is the first show of the Aes podcast. I'm joined by Kristin Brumley, actress, active in LARPing, comic artist (http://www.scog-comic.com/) and a thousand other things. We tackle a player-type in this podcast, the actor, the "role-player" if you will. Forgive the bias' we're both Actors.
For the first show I decided to make it both a trial run and have someone along for the ride. After much difficulty eventually ending with me smacking myself in the forehead for some small mistakes compounding into a large problem the podcast is finished, though far from perfectly clean and far from "professional". If anyone could give some pointers, I'll gladly take the criticism (I need it) but I'd appreciate anyone that pays a listen.
Next week there will be a (much cleaner) Macro-cast on Desolation.

Welcome one and all to the Aes Podcast. My name is Zac Conley and I will be the "voice behind the screen". I am a college student (Chemistry/Education) and an avid fan of Tabletop RPGs.
I have been a Storyteller (ST) and a player for many games since I started playing, including New World of Darkness (with the exceptions of Changeling and Wraith), Vampire: The Masquerade, Desolation, Risus, DnD (3.5/4e) as well as a smattering of others (with a few made by myself and/or a friend). Throughout this I have related the experience to teaching and it has many similarities. Between all of these I have found two that strike my interest more so than any other: Desolation and Promethean: The Created.
Both of these games have a strong emphasis on story and character development, but do a fantastic job of keeping all of the player types happy. The major draw for me is character and story-development (hence why I am a ST most of the time), though I enjoy the occasional power-gaming session, though few and far between. The fun part here is that these can be all in one with these two sessions, though more spread out and far less "uber-awesome power with no drawbacks."
The podcast itself will likely be happening biweekly until I get the hang of it, though I may do alternating weekly micro-sessions and macro-sessions with the macro-sessions being on larger issues and collections of ideas while the micro-sessions being built around suggestions and smaller ideas.
The first podcast will be covering Desolation in all of it's Post-Apocalyptic glory, especially focusing on the game world itself: history, culture, demise and aftermath.
I would like suggestions if possible on what people would like to see so until I get the forums up and running, you can get in contact with me through any of the following:
